The brain is a poorly understood computational device consisting of 10^11 neurons with a high degree of interconnectivity. This talk will describe some of the biological problems in constructing useful models of brain circuits, and some of the computational problems involved in dealing with such models. I'll also describe our current work on neural simulators which addresses some of these concerns.
