Mobile IPv6 allows a mobile device to retain the use of an IPv6 address having moved from the "home" network for which that address is valid, so that applications wishing to contact the device on that address may do so directly and so that network connections bound to the address survive movement of the mobile hosts. This talks introduces the protocol involved and describes implementations for the Windows and Windows CE operating stsrems done jointly with Lancaster University.
